BRAND NEW SINCLAIRS, alma negra y descaro ye-yé

Contundente base rítmica y guitarras crujientes, tocado con buen gusto y mucha clase, y la dulce y elegante voz de Ana Sinclair, dan forma a esta banda de alma negra y descaro ye-yé, como a ellos mismos les gusta definirse.

Esta es una de las mejores definiciones encontradas en la red de BRAND NEW SINCLAIRS, el último fichaje de Flor y Nata Records, la más veterana de las independientes (1981–2011).

Muchos ya les conoceréis por su anterior disco de “Ten Blue Pills” (Bip Bip Records 2009) con el que debutaron el cuarteto de Barakaldo. Si ya entonces consiguieron llamar la atención y demostrar que lo suyo es una mezcla de garage, R&B, soul, ye-yé y beat explosión, con este segundo disco “Healing Souls” que se publica en CD, en digital y en lujoso y nostálgico vinilo, os conquistarán definitivamente.

Y es que BRAND NEW SINCLAIRS, aún siendo una banda de hoy en día, no sólo no desprecian, sino que utilizan aquellos elementos que dieron a algunos grupos de los 60 aquel sonido característico e irrepetible que ahora reinventan y fusionan con las melodías pop que se adaptan a la perfección con la voz de Ana, logrando un sello de identidad y un sonido inconfundible.

“Healing Souls”.... casi un “Greatest Hits”

Tras una breve introducción, “Healing Souls” se abre con “Heal my soul”, un disparo bailable que hace que conectes con el sonido de Brand New Sinclairs para no abandonarlo hasta la última nota del disco, con un estribillo que se te quedará grabado en la cabeza: “Oh my sweet doctor, I need my medicine, I wanna heal my soul” y que como las buenas películas, empiezan con un terremoto y siguen subiendo, en este caso la subida son canciones como “Ronnie”, “A Way of Life” o “Where you real?”, todas con vida propia pero que a la vez parecen hechas para ocupar ese y no otro lugar en un álbum que bien podría ser un “Greatest Hits” de Brand New Sinclairs, y si no, al tiempo.

BRAND NEW SINCLAIRS, black soul & ye-yé insolence

Forceful rhythmic base, crunchy guitars played with taste and very classy, elegant and sweet voice of Ana Sinclair, the band shape of black soul and ye-ye insolence, as they themselves like to be defined.

This is one of the best definitions found in the net of BRAND NEW SINCLAIRS, the latest addition to Flor y Nata Records, the oldest of the spanish indie labels (1981-2011).

Many already know them by their previous album "Ten Blue Pills" (Bip Bip Records 2009) with which the Barakaldo’s quartet debuted. If even then managed to attract attention and demonstrate that theirs is a blend of garage, R & B, soul, ye-yé and beat explosion, with this second album "Healing Souls" released on CD, digitally and in luxurious and nostalgic vinyl, you definitely conquer.

After a brief introduction, "Healing Souls" opens with "Heal my soul", a dance shot makes you connect with the sound of Brand New Sinclairs for not leaving until the last note of the disc, with a chorus that you will be recorded head: "Oh my sweet doctor, I need my medicine, I want to heal my soul" and, like good movies, starting with an earthquake and still rising, in this case the rise are songs like "Ronnie", "A Way of Life" or "Where you real?", all with their own life but that also seem to be made to take that and no other place on an album that could well be a "Greatest Hits" by Brand New Sinclairs, and if not While.
